Hello Everyone!
We have finished our selection of the ram lambs we will be offering as breeding stokc this year. THis selection process is vigorous with a heavy emphsasis on performance. From the day they are born, they are evaluated for growth and parasite resistance. We keep track of this data through the National SHeep Improvement Program to develop Estimated Breeding Values to ensure we are only selling the best. Additionally, these records go back for years, all combined through pedigrees and statistical calculations to ensure only the best are selected. WE also place a heavy emphasis on milk and mothering, as well as consistent twins or triplets. After selecting our top rams for EBV's, we also look at conformation and eleiminate any that do not meet the standards for breeding. Scrotal circumference has been measured on all of these rams as well. And, we have also tested them for Codon 171 and TMEM 154, Scrapie and OPP resistance, respectively. Check out these ram lambs by going to our breeding stock tab, hovering over for sale, and clicking on the various options.
