Well... Lambing Season came, went, and has been long past and we haven't had a chance to update y'all on what a whirlwind of a year it has been! We had a successful lambing season with our adult ewe flock averaging 270% lambing percentage. Yup! You read that right... 270%! Great news is, we hardly lost any lambs, and we had some fantastic lambs! With breeding stock from this batch going from Missouri to Oregon, California to Iowa, and lots of places in between, we have had great feedback from our breeding stock customers. This was our first year using our new ams from back East. With rams from Georgia, Virginia, and Arkansas siring our flock this past year, we were impressed with how the lambs turned out. We had several with exceptional parasite resistance (top 1-5%) and milk/mothering (top 1-5%). We were also able to retain several of these high quality ewe lambs and ram lambs within our own flock. In fact, the little fellow in the photo below grew up to be a nice ram that we will be keeping back for future use as a herd sire. Our list is filling up very quickly for next year, with reservations from Washington to Georgia, Oregon to Iowa, and places in between, so get on the list today while we still have space for our top stock. Our ram lineup this year is even more stellar than last year, and we can't wait for lambing to start! Hopefully we do a better job keeping you updated on what's happening around here next year! :) ![]()
